73 more flights to Calgary have been identified with confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Canadian government has updated its list of flights confirmed to have COVID-19 exposures and 73 new cases have been found on international and domestic flights to and from Calgary.

According to the Canadian government website, four more international flights have been confirmed to have had potential COVID-19 exposures since April 20, including two flights traveling from Dallas to Calgary.

The flights added to the list include:

  • April 20: United Airlines flight UA4687 Denver to Calgary (affected rows: 16-22)
  • April 21: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight KL677 from Amsterdam to Calgary (affected rows: 1 to 6)
  • April 23: American Airlines Flight AA1354 from Dallas to Calgary (rows affected: 22-28)
  • April 25: American Airlines Flight AA1354 from Dallas to Calgary (rows 1 through 6 affected)

Individuals who have flown from Calgary within Canada should check the list below, as 69 new cases of COVID-19 on domestic flights have been reported by YYC since April 14.

The flights added to the list include:

“A row is considered to be affected when there are three rows behind or in front of where a person seated has COVID-19 and during a period of time when they may have been contagious to others,” the Canadian website states Government.

Travelers who recently returned to Canada must be quarantined for 14 days, regardless of whether they have symptoms or whether a COVID-19 transmission was reported on the flight.
