Calgary is now at risk of thunderstorms

Calgarians should keep a close eye on the sky tonight as we might see thunder and lightning.

After an ideal summer week with temperatures well into the 30s, Mother Nature finally decided that a classic thunderstorm in Alberta was all right again.

The weather network warns of thunderstorms this afternoon and into the evening. There is a chance that rainfall will be 40% and rain is expected to drop below 1mm.

Even so, a lightning strike is enough to seriously ruin your day. Hence, Clagarians are warned to go inside if they hear thunder over the city.

Hail and strong winds could also hit the city. So make sure that these sunroofs are closed.

The rest of the week appears to be free of thunderstorms, with a high of 27 ° C expected on Friday, which feels closer to 29 ° C. As long as you can get through this evening, there should be nothing else clear skies ahead.
