Drake’s own OVO clothing brand will open a permanent store in Calgary’s largest mall.
The Toronto-based rapper and entrepreneur launched his clothing brand OVO in 2011 in collaboration with Roots Canada.
Other collaborations since then have included Nike, Canada Goose, Timberland, Clarks and the NBA Toronto Raptors. The focus was on jerseys, track jackets, sweatshirts, T-shirts and baseball caps.
OVO currently has stationary locations in Toronto, London, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Tokyo, London, Las Vegas, Chicago and New York. New information on the Chinook Center website states that OVO is “soon” getting into a store on its first level.
It is expected to be next to Arc’teryx and across from Harry Rosen.
The Calgary facility will be OVO’s sixth store in Canada and twelfth in the world.
