CALGARY – A number of suspects were arrested after an unknown incident that resulted in a large police presence in a community north of Calgary.
Airdrie RCMP said they had been called to help with an investigation led by the Calgary Police Service, which moved into their jurisdiction Friday afternoon.
The situation resulted in a “heavy police presence” in Morningside, a neighborhood south-west of Airdrie.
The RCMP K9 was also used on site.
There are no details of the actual investigation, but police say all suspects related to the case were arrested and at no point was there any risk to the public.
EMS tells CTV News that an adult male has been taken to Foothills Medical Center in Calgary for treatment for soft tissue injuries.
Nobody else was hurt.
RCMP expects the Calgary Police to provide further details on the investigation at a later date.
