Easter weekend is just around the corner and the City of Calgary will be making some minor adjustments to their services to reflect the holiday.
Some city services are closed for the long weekend, while others may have adjusted their hours.
The City of Calgary suggests spending time outdoors to celebrate the change of season and the Easter break, while respecting current public health measures.
“With 8,000 acres of parkland, there’s plenty of room for physical distancing,” the City of Calgary said in a press release. “Help keep our parks safe and open by following health agency recommendations.”
The city found that 95% of Calgary citizens live within a five-minute walk of their local park.
“Stay close to home by visiting your neighborhood park,” the city said. “Avoid crowded parks and make sure that you are at least two meters apart when you pass other citizens on paths, paths and sidewalks.”
